Hot Breakfast (eggs to order: poached, scrambeled or boiled (sorry no omelette) is served 8:00 to 10:00. A grace period with our cold buffet is open until 10:45.
Please take note that for more than 10 guests we serve scrambled eggs only.
Our cold buffet includes 4-5 different breads, muesli, corn flakes, other flakes. 3 cheeses, 2-3 cold cuts incl. salami, 2-3 yoghurts, milk, 2-4 fresh fruit in season, 3 jams, honey, Marmite, peanut butter, occasionally Nutella. Bottomless Tea and coffee,
Luxury rooms (1-7) are 4 star graded (renewed 11.4.23) have own private entrances, en-suite Victorian-style bathrooms,
wall-safes, air-conditioning, some have under-floor heating, hand-formed
uneven (!) clay tiles, DVD, HiFi with a
selection of DVD/CD's, Flatscreen TV, Filter
coffee / tea machine, bath gowns, kettle, hairdryer, (wine-) fridge, WiFi, radio alarm clock and a writing desk. Most rooms have "Nespresso" style coffee machines (capsules are not included). Some of our rooms are wheelchair friendly to various degrees. with spacious
baths,
extra-wide
doors
and everything else in the height to be conveniently reachable from wheelchair
level. Rooms 1-3 are load shedding free. Rooms 4-7 have limited generator coverage mainly lights.
Cottage 9 is a luxury self-catering cottage with one bedroom, a lounge with a Dover fireplace and kitchenette.
Self-catering Units 10-12 are not 4 star graded ! and generally less luxuriously equipped. All rooms have either single or twin beds and shower only. Floors are made of Terracotta tiles with a
noticable uneveness and slope !
Our Dams are not fenced in. Use at your own risk. Children must be under adult supervision at all times. The Swimming pool has a child-safe automated cover. Do not operate on your own please!
By entering on Oude Wellington you agree to be responsible for your children/dog and are liable for any damage caused by them.
If your dog has allowed you to share a room, it is your duty to provide all services like provide bedding, holding the leash and collecting poo. We have big friendly dogs (Boerbul, St.Bernhard and a Husky). Our dogs are quite protective about the manor house (reception, kitchen and breakfast room in particular, as any accidently dropped bacon is naturally theirs). |
